Dr. Mulcahy earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in Geography at Hunter College of the City University of New York. She earned a doctoral degree in Earth and Environmental Science from the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York. At East Carolina University she serves as the Co-Director of the Center for Geographic Information Science and the Coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science. Karen has had extensive private and public sector experience in the field of Geographic Information Science for over 30 years and has 20 years of university teaching experience.
