Full name: William ‘Blake’ Privette (Class of 2023)
Major/Minor: BS Community and Regional Planning, Minor in Geography
Hometown: Louisburg, NC
Interest in Planning & future goals: I love the idea that I am helping contribute to the bigger picture. I like helping the public get their thoughts and ideas heard. I hope to start off in local government and see where it takes me from there.
Favorite thing about the department: My favorite thing about the Planning Department at ECU is how close-knit we are. You don’t get to have the community and friendship that we have in larger programs. The professors also make the department a great thing to be a part of.
Blake served as Treasurer of the Student Planners’ Action Network during his senior year. He has been nominated for an Outstanding Student Award at the American Planning Association-North Carolina Chapter. Blake will begin his career with the City of Greenville.
