Kearney and Sardina Received the Bate Scholarship
During ECU’s International Awards Ceremony, Jordan Kearney and Bella Sardina received the 2022 Harold H. Bate Study Abroad Scholarship Award on November 9, 2022. The Harold H. Bate Study Abroad Scholarships in Global Affairs and the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences are offered to students to travel abroad and see the larger world around them.
Bella Sardina, a junior Planning student from Goldsboro, is one of ECU’s Global Fellows–a new Office of Global Affairs’ initiative to position high-achieving students for success in today’s global, multicultural economy. Jordan Kearney is a junior Planning major and ECU’s Access scholar from New Bern interested in transportation planning. Bella and Jordan will participate in Sustainable Urbanism in South Korea in Summer 2023, a faculty-led study abroad program in the Community and Regional Planning program.
The study abroad experiences will open tremendous opportunities for them to excel and succeed in their career.
