Teaching children about Planning, Geography, and Atmospheric Science
Our students and faculty participated in the “A Time For Science Expo” at A Time for Science building on Dickinson Avenue on March 17, 2018, 11 am – 3 pm. Hundreds of children enjoyed hands-on activities, which include finding locations on a gigantic map of NC, planting basil seeds as the first step to the Sustainable Urbanism, and making a tornado in a bottle. Students of SPAN and Geo Club lead the activities.
Special Thanks to Dr. Burrell Montz, Dr. Karen Mulcahy, Dr. Misun Hur, Nick Musarra, Randall Mills, Ken Thompson, William Stanton, Kevin Cheruvathoor, and all other Geography volunteers.
