Planning students attend the NC-APA Section 5 Workshop

Planning students attended the NC-APA Section 5 Workshop in Windsor, NC on March 16, 2018. The workshop has two sessions. The morning session focused on community resiliency. Presenters from Windsor and Princeville shared their approaches in the aftermath of major flooding events. The afternoon session focused on rural tourism development including off-site visits to the Cashie River Treehouses and the Roanoke-Cashie River Center/Roanoke River Partnership.

Participating students enjoyed the workshop, and had wonderful opportunity to have informal conversations with other planners. Special Thanks to NCAPA Section 5 for welcoming students as well as covering the lunches.
