Accelerated Degree Program (4+1) Launched

The Planning Accelerated Degree Program, BS Community and Regional Planning/MS Planning and Development launched.

Highly motivated undergraduate Planning students can now graduate with BS and MS degrees in five years. The accelerated Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Planning/Master of Science in Planning and Development (“Plan 4+1”) is initiated while undergraduates are completing the bachelor’s degree. Students admitted to the accelerated program may count up to 12 semester hours of graduate courses towards the completion of both the bachelor’s degree and the master’s degree.

With this Plan 4+1 program, the program will retain strong Community and Regional Planning undergraduates with the opportunity to streamline their progress into the Master of Planning and Development.

Two undergraduate students are accepted to this new accelerated degree program in Fall 2023.
