Interest in Planning & future goals: My interest in the planning field begins with my desire to be able to make a difference in the community. Through my role in the planning field, my work will help to improve living spaces that will positively impact the quality of lives for many individuals. I hope to obtain employment where I can serve the people in our Eastern North Carolina communities.
Favorite thing about the department:While there are many aspects of the Community and Regional Planning Program that I found to be beneficial in my learning, my favorite elements of the program include the opportunities to learn from professional planners, the inclusion of Internship options in the planning field, and the emphasis on collaboration to work with peers. I have appreciated the tight-knit community within the program.
