Major/Minor: BS Community and Regional Planning, Concentrations in Community Health and Urban Studies
Hometown: Apex, NC
Interest in Planning & future goals: I love helping people love where they live. I enjoy opportunities to work in the field engaging with the public. I find that the balance between professional duties and community engagement is the cornerstone of planning. I hope to start off working in municipal planning and continue helping people throughout my career in a public capacity.
Favorite thing about the department: I love the people! Both the students and faculty are very passionate about planning and community development. It made going to class and working on projects so fulfilling. Being surrounded by people who share your interest and dedication to community is incredible!
Leila will begin her career with Wake County, NC starting in June 2022.
