Full name: Thomas “Ted” Drescher (Class of 2021)
Major/Minor: BS Urban and Regional Planning
Hometown: Virginia Beach, Virginia
Interest in Planning & future goals: I am interested more in the environmental planning and conservation aspects of the field. My area of focus is in Coastal Planning and Development with a minor in Coastal and Marine Science. I want to use this degree to work for an organization such as Ducks Unlimited to help maintain, protect, and preserve wetlands and waterfowl habitats.
Favorite thing about the department: My favorite thing about ECU’s Planning Department is the helpfulness of the staff I experienced throughout my time in the program. The instructors and professors within the department want to see us students succeed and best prepare us for the planning world. I also liked how it is a smaller program here at the school, which really helps you build a good relationship with your professors and classmates.
